Romance was alive and well in St. Attracta’s on 14th February 2018.  The residents and some of their partners celebrated the occasion with a romantic lunch and plenty of chocolate treats.

On 5th February 2018 the staff and residents hosted a celebration for 50 years in show business for Michael Fox. Michael visits the nursing home regularly and plays his varied musical selection which everyone enjoys.  It was a great achievement for him and one which everyone wanted to mark and celebrated.  Residents made cards and high tea and a few tipples were served.

On 13th March residents enjoyed an outing to the Father Peyton Centre.  This has become a fixture in the annual calendar and is always a great day out with fun and singing and dancing.

St. Patrick’s Day 2018 fell on a Saturday and the cold weather did nothing to dampen the cheer of the day. The residents wore badges and dressed in their green finery.  Thanks to Christina Murphy for her generosity of time in making the badges.

On the 13th April residents made the short journey to June’s tea rooms in Kilkelly.  Only a short distance away this café has developed a name for its wonderful baked goodies.  The residents had a spot of afternoon tea which was yummy and enjoyed a change of scene.  For those who were unable to travel plenty of goodies were brought back.
