On Friday, 29th May 2026 St. Attractas held its official opening of the Wild Atlantic Suite. The opening of the Wild Atlantic Suite and the addition of 15 new single en suite bedrooms to St Attracta’s brings the overall capacity of the progressive and modern, family-owned and operated residence to 75 beds.
The official opening and blessing of the Wild Atlantic Suite extension on Friday, May 29th commenced with Mass which was celebrated by Fr. Maloney, Fr. Johnson and Fr. Doherty, followed by a ribbon-cutting. Invited guests included residents and their families, staff, Senator Mark Duffy, TD Paul Lawless and local Councillor Gerry Murray. During the speeches tribute was paid to the many stakeholders who work closely together to ensure the efficient operation of the nursing home including its staff, suppliers, GPs, Pharmacy, maintenance contractors and many more. In the afternoon, the Residence held its Annual Barbecue. With live music, a marquee, and great food on offer, it is a highlight of the St Attracta’s calendar and a wonderful day for residents and staff alike.
