On Thursday, 14th November St. Attracta’s hosted a Residents Fashion Show. The residents were dressed in the finest fashions of the season and made their way down the catwalk to the cheers from residents, staff and visitors. Our good friend of the nursing home Kevin Henry was on hand to play some tunes and got the crowed up dancing afterwards. As is required for such an event the drinks were flowing with many enjoying some bubbly for the occasion.
Special thanks to Monica who is our in house hairdresser and who did a wonderful job on ensuring everyone looked their best. The residents had a complete display of Vogue front covers in the lead up to the event with each of them included and displayed in the dining room. Hugh thanks to Nadia Benito who were above and beyond in preparation for this event and spent a lot of time getting the Vogue covers prepared.
Thanks to Nadia, Marie and Margaret for ensuring the residents were suitably kitted out and for coordinating the event. Great fun was had by all present with one resident who has passed her 100th birthday saying she had never been in a fashion show before and that was a first – good to know we can still surprise ourselves at 100!!!!
