Tuesday, 25th August was an eventful day for St. Attracta’s. Less than one month after Mayo’s historical win in Croke park the Sam Maguire trophy made a flying visit to St. Attracta’s Residence. This visit was extremely special for all of us and we thank sincerely County Board Treasurer, Valerie Murphy for this. The cup brought a wonderful response from so many residents with some literally lighting up when they saw it. As one resident said ‘I waited my whole life to touch the Sam Maguire’. It was a visit we will treasure forever.
