On Tuesday, 11th April the residents went on their annual visit to the Father Peyton centre. This outing is always an enjoyable day of mass, lunch and social activities.
The birthplace of Venerable Patrick Peyton, Attymass in Co Mayo was selected as the Irish location for the memorial centre to commemorate his life and apostolic works. Father Peyton Memorial Centre was officially opened and dedicated on 10th October 1998 by Bishop Thomas Flynn. The centre is a place of respite prayer and peace. It is a popular tourist attraction with guided tours of rare memorabilia, photographs and a DVD presentation on the life of Venerable Patrick Peyton.
