On Monday, 5th December there was a bit of excitement in the house with the news that RTE was to visit the nursing home. The reason for the visit was to do some coverage from a private nursing home regarding a letter that has been put in the national papers by Nursing Homes Ireland asking the government to save the private nursing homes. The letter and some associated information are attached here.
The residents enjoyed the visit by a very familiar face to many Teresa Mannion. Along with her cameraman Enda they spoke to a few visitors and the result was a lovely piece on RTE which ran on the 6 pm news that evening.
